Antimicrobial Resistance Research Center

History

Antimicrobial Resistance Research Center was established in June 12th, 2012 after receiving the approval from Ministry of Health.

Establishment of this center obtained definite agreement based on the vote issued in 256th session of Council of Expansion of Medical Sciences Universities in October 16th, 2016.

 

Vision

This center is supposed to be the most reliable antimicrobial resistance research center across the country. Taking benefit of the capabilities of the researchers and faculty members in basic sciences as well as the advanced national and international technology, we will take steps along with the human health following the ethical and religious principles of Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

Mission

Supreme leader: We need meticulous research work in order to provide better services for the nation.

The ultimate goal of the antimicrobial resistance research center is to provide people with services. To achieve this goal, this center is committed to all the legal or natural audience, particularly people, students, employees, faculty members, etc in:

1. Following all the professional, ethical and humane values and principals in research
2. Focusing on the usability of the research findings
3. Knowledge production
4. Providing high quality services
5. Achieving the best results and enhancing the productivity with the lowest possible cost
6. Emphasizing and supporting group work

 

Goals

1. Realizing the existing situation of antimicrobial resistance in Mazandaran
2. Diagnosing and preventing the factors affecting the increase in the antimicrobial resistance
3. Reducing the costs of health services
4. Informing the medical society timely about the resistant organisms to appropriately use antimicrobial agents
5. Publishing research articles on antimicrobial resistance issues
6. Making attempt to obtain approval for a scientific-research journal on  antimicrobial resistance issues
