History

The Orthopedic Research Center (ORC) was started by the pursuing of the Orthopedic Department of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences. This center was established to launch an Orthopedic Assistant Training Course with the aim of promoting quantitative and qualitative research. The ORC center received its license with the continued support of the Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology of the Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences on January 12th, 2015. It is located now in Imam Khomeini Hospital in Sari.

Vision

The Orthopedic Research Center can reduce the prevalence of pathological fractures caused by osteoporosis in the future; improve the quality as well as reduce the complications due to joint replacement.

Mission

The examination of the patients, who undergo joint replacement surgery periodically. This center provides ways to prevent the prevalence of osteoporosis in the society.

Goals

Development and application of human knowledge in the field of orthopedic science. 
The implementing of basic epidemiological and clinical to reform the views of policy makers in the public health services

1. Development and application of human knowledge in the field of orthopedic science.
2. The implementing of basic epidemiological and clinical to reform the views of policy makers in the public health services with the goal of answering the growing needs of the Islamic community.
3. Collection, regulation and classification of documents, articles and relevant documents and their publication.
4. Training Human Resource in the field of orthopedics
5. Encouragement and Involvement of Researchers
6. Efforts to attract attention and cooperation of relevant  executive research centers within the country
7. Scientific cooperation with research and training centers of the other countries and international organizations in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran
